Research Infrastructure Enhancement to Support Rural Health Research
Owing to fast changing technology, CRaNHR's research infrastructure needed to be expanded and upgraded in order to enhance its rural health research capability. CRaNHR was awarded a Canada Foundation for Innovation grant to acquire a new server, peripheral equipment and related software that is being used to support a broad range of research activities. For instance, the new research infrastructure is allowing CRaNHR to conduct web-based surveys. The server is also being used for storing large databases in a secure environment. In addition, it is expected that the new equipment will benefit the research activities of the Canada Research Chair in Rural Health and the proposed Interdisciplinary Ph.D. Program in Rural and Northern Health.
