Knowledge Translation

Knowledge translation (KT) is the latest 'buzz word' in health research. The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) defines KT as "a dynamic and iterative process that includes synthesis, dissemination, exchange and ethically-sound application of knowledge to improve the health of Canadians, provide more effective health services and products and strengthen the health care system".

For wider dissemination of research findings, CRaNHR launched a publication series titled Research in FOCUS on Research which consists of summaries of research studies in reader-friendly language. In collaboration with the Film Studies Program, CRaNHR also produced a documentary film titled Lost in the Woods which is based on the "Rural Perspective on Continuity of Care" study.
