I am a research associate involved in projects exploring access to health care services and health human resources in rural, northern and Aboriginal communities. I have collaborated on a wide range of subjects, including informal caregivers, nurse practitioners, rural physicians, primary health care models, mental health services, and peer support workers. I am experienced in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and techniques. My present work involves assisting with the Best of Both Worlds project which aims to create a culturally safe integrated care plan for the Wikwemikong Health Centre in Wikwemikong Unceded First Nations Reserve. I am also involved in other studies such as the assessment and evaluation of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine's Aboriginal cultural immersion strategy.
